In the summer of 2022, I traveled to Europe for a journalism focused study abroad experience with NAU's student paper. Along with the stories I wrote abroad, this capstone includes daily travel logs and photos of the trip.

Sustainable Initiatives and Waste Management Practices in National Parks and Outdoor Spaces Promoting Outdoor Education

My journalism capstone is a photojournalism project focusing on the sustainable initiatives and waste management practices being utilized in our national parks and outdoor spaces with a focus on the southwest. It also touches on the public’s level of knowledge about their impact on nature and how they interact with the outdoors. The piece explores past, current and future programs that promote sustainability while briefly covering how COVID-19 changed these programs.
